Colombia star James Rodriguez says he'd rather play in La Liga than move to England.

The 22-year-old's future has been the subject of much debate after his electrifying performances at this World Cup, but James says the Premier League is not for him, for now at least.

"I've said in the past I'd like to play in Spain one day because it is a league that is good technically and you get a lot of touches on the ball, which is my style," he said.

"The Premier League is maybe a bit physical at this stage."

"But I'm a Monaco player and I'm not thinking about anything like that at the moment. I am now just concentrating on Brazil, which is going to be a wonderful experience."

James takes centre-stage again on Friday night as his Colombia side take on Brazil in the quarter-finals.
