England, Brazil

England beat Brazil for the first time in 23 years last night, thanks to a wicked finish from substitute Frank Lampard!

Joe Hart saved a Ronaldinho penalty before Wayne Rooney slammed home a shot to give England a 27th-minute lead.

Fred equalised at the start of the second half, but Lampard curled in a beauty to give the Three Lions a deserved and confidence-boosting victory.

It was a great night for Roy Hodgson, who watched on as Jack Wilshere controlled the midfield and England produced some nice intricate passages of play to unlock the Brazil defence.
