Superkid reporter Nicole Borgers’ FA Cup Final report…

After winning the superkid reporter competition in MOTD, I got tickets for me and my Mum to watch Liverpool and Chelsea play in the FA cup final at Wembley.

I happen to be a Chelsea fan so it was an extra special prize. Little did I know that I was not going as an ordinary fan, I was going as a reporter.

We met Bez and Ian Foster, the Editor, at the Media Entrance. We went in a lift to the press lounges where we saw Mick McCarthy.

We were seated in the Media Block. The seats had desks with small TVs on them so we could watch the replays. It was a great goal from Ramires in the 11th minute and a brilliant second from Drogba in the 51st.

Everyone thought it was all over but Carroll’s goal in the 63rd minute gave Liverpool more confidence. We were near the Liverpool fans so there was an unbelievable amount of noise.

Chelsea managed to hold on to their 2-1 lead to win the FA Cup!

Amazingly, I went to the Press Conference and saw Kenny Dalglish. He was very upset: “We just left ourselves too much to do,” he said.

After a long while, Roberto Di Matteo also came in. When he was asked if he thought he would get the Chelsea job permanently he said, as predicted: “It is irrelevant and we will respect the owners decision… We will just enjoy today!”

Winning this competition was a great experience to see what it was like to be a reporter. I really enjoyed the match. Thank you MOTD!!!
