An epic comeback was not enough for Man. City to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Europa League last night, as they were knocked out by Sporting Lisbon on away goals.
Sporting started the game strongly, with a free-kick from Matias Fernandez and a goal from Ricky van Wolfswinkel giving them a 2-0 lead by half time.
Sergio Aguero sparked the City comeback with a 60th minute goal, before Mario Balotelli converted a penalty and Aguero struck again to level the tie at 3-3 on aggregate.
City needed one more goal and in the last minute Joe Hart almost provided it with a powerful header from a corner!
